The poem is dedicated to the poet Pablo Neruda
Angst
You do fuel my fire
For I am truly your slave
I worship you
We feed off each other
I die by your hand
Yet reborn again from the very same grave
repented stronger than before
Washed away from the past
Into a new future
A next morning
I accept defeat
I laugh at misery
I embrace pain
For to draw upon your own life
self extinguishment?
The ultimate escape?
Cowardice!
Draw out a pen
Get a virgin sheet of paper
stain it with angst
that has plagued your soul,
so that it may be beautiful
words...
All at once
You are pure
Reborn
Behold your work
Smile
Thank you, angst
Would joy be measured
Weren't it for you?
They say, "that which does not kill you...
only makes you stronger"
But that which does kill you
makes you a poet.
