Reflections,
by Woei Hern Chan
When you're with everyone,
You're numb to yourself,
Acting, reacting...
Clock in clock out,
And I just wish,
That I could die for awhile,
By myself,
More often in the daytime,
Than I do so at night,
Where I can share not with nary a person,
Save you,
And me,
But utter not a word,
Yet please, please,
Sense my sorrow,
Wrap me like,
The shroud of night,
Embraces us,
And cricket sing,
Moon shining,
And when I look upon your moonlit face,
Shining back at me,
I will know and reveal again,
What I have lost,
and know who I am.
