AMAZING

Would it be made true?
That if I had hoped
Just but once
Not to be bruised in the heart
Just for a day
I wonder how would it be
What was that word again?

Amazing,
Simply amazing,
How I always let you step me down,
One step lower,
Just when I thought,
I could go no more.
I just can't explain,
Why, no matter how dark,
Sometimes I see light,
Up above,
This emotional chasm of mine,
And I can't believe,
How stupid I am,
To think of climbing back up again.

Amazing,
Simply amazing,
I was nearly back up again,
I could smell the grass,
And hear the whispers of the wind,
Enticingly.
Then I see your face,
Angel-devil girl,
Which one are you now?
"Please forgive me, I'm sorry," she says.
Thrusting her hands downwards,
Trusting my embrace upwards,
Angel.

Amazing,
Simply amazing,
When you're in her arms,
That look in her eyes,
Eternity?
Is but a moment's thought,
A moment's bliss,
And in the next,
Without nary a whisper, "Goodbye",
She let me go.
I could see her face,
Engraved, innocent,
Melancholically so.
I'm falling once more,
Give myself a smile,
I've been had again,
I'll see you soon,
Bittersweet angel-devil girl.
