My All
by Woei Hern Chen
I see the starlights in the sky
I'll think of the moonlight in your eye
and in the darkest night
I rest easy in the knowledge
that it was for you I brought down the moon

I see the sunbeams sprinkling wild
I'll think of the sunshine that is your smile
and in the gloomiest day
I am contented in the knowledge
that it was for you I brought down the sun

I see the trees dancing in the wind
I'll think of your soothing breaths within
and in the stillness of the day
I pride in the knowledge
that it was for you I stole the wind

I see the raindrops falling down
I'll feel the times when we washed away our frowns
and in the driest drought
I fret not in the knowledge
that it was for you I dried out the clouds

I see a face staring back at me
I'll remember your touch, gently
and in my deepest, darkest hole
I hope yet in the knowledge
that it was for you my own heart I stole......
