First Source

First source of information should be yourself and family members. Contact all of the living relatives and get as much information as you can. You will surprised how much you may know yourself and needs to be recorded. Other family members especially maiden aunts usually have access to records, certificates, photographs, family recollections, rumors and scandals which you don't. And don't forget to check both sides of the family.
