Scottish Weavers

Weavers in Scotland once produced far more yardage than today's
famous Scottish tartans and Harris tweed. When Scotland's textile
industry was running full tilt, carpets, Scottish lace, calico
cottons, Paisley shawls and jute products were just as well known. In
fact, the fibers linen, silk, wool, cotton and jute are spun and
woven throughout Scotland's domestic, economic, social and political
