Scottish Regiments

By Kay Glasgow

Have you seen the Edinburgh Military Tattoo? 200,000 attend the spectacle every August on the Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle. Millions more watch via international tv or on video and DVD. The puzzle features some participating Scottish regiments. For more about Scottish regiments see: http://www.edinburgh-tattoo.co.uk/tattoo-experience/scottish_regiments .html . One needs to remember, Tattoo musicians are soldiers. Since the Middle Ages, Scots have soldiered by the thousands in the world's history of conflict and war. In November on Remembrance and Armistice Days, the 200,000 Scottish lives lost in military service since the first World War are remembered.
