The Herald reported on a literary project: The Bibliography of Scottish Literature in Translation and listed the most translated Scottish works (4 Nov 1999: p. 3). Half the list is Robert Louis Stevenson's! He was born 13 November 1850. He studied for the family engineering business and the law.
