Burns Night

Robert Burns' birthday is January 25th. Within decades after his death (1796), groups assembled to honour the poet's life and work. In the past two hundred years, late January finds celebrants the world over keeping to the traditional format of a Burns Dinner developed by his friends and early fans of "Oor Robin". Most of the anagrams are of items common to a Burns Supper.
