The puzzle's gone to the dogs, dogs native to Scotland, that is. Since the Middle Ages Scotland developed hardy breeds to withstand the rigors of terrain and weather. These canine Scots are now among the world's favoured pets and show dogs but they first gained their popularity working hard on Scotland's crofts and estates.
