Tha mo chom a' seinn ri d' bhòidhche
'S mo chuislean 'g éigheach luathghair:
Tha m' fhuil uile mar fhion cròiceach
A' cur thairis cuaiche.
Fa do chomhair, a thé bhòidheach,
'Na mo cheann dà mhile smeòrach
Ann an coille òig ri ceileir:
'Na mo chluais deich mìle seillean.
Tha mo chom ri mire-chatha,
Armailt fo bhrat buadhach,
Goll is Fionn ag cur an latha,
Caoilte 'n tréine 'luathais.
Bhon as tu mo chéille còmhraig
Buaileam Ie deich mile pòg thu;
Bhon as tu mo chònspann àraich
Se strìochd do bhuaidh, a théàlainn.

My breast sings at your beauty
And my veins cry out for joy:
All my blood's like bubbling wine
Overflowing a cup.
In your presence, lovely one,
In my head two thousand thrushes
In verdant forest chorusing:
In my ear ten thousand bees.
My breast is in a battle-rage,
Army under victory banner,
Goll and Fionn going into action,
Caoilte in his speed of valour.
Since you are my battle-spouse,
I'll strike you with ten thousand kisses;
Since you're the champion of my field
Yielding's your triumph, lovely one.
