Uisge Phìob Piped Water
Sann tha 'n othail air na cruinneagan
Tha fuireach anns an eilean seo
Fàgail soraidh aig na cuinneagan
Bha gan cumail-san cho trang.

Uisge phìob nach teirig ac'
'S chan fhaic na tobair tuilleadh iad
A' taomadh is ag eaghonadh
Le sgeileidean 'nan làimh.

IAIN PEATARSON
How excited are the lasses
Who're living in this island
Taking leave of the buckets
That were keeping them so busy.

They've piped water unlimited
And no well again will see them
Emptying and filling
With skillets in their hands.
