Bòrlam eile suas o 'goile, Fiar is connlach air am meileadh, Cnàmhach, cnàmhach, cnàmhach, Stad is slugadh. Suapadh iorbaill air a caoldruim Cuileagan caobaidh mach 'nan sgaothan, Cnàmhach, cnàmhach, cnàmhach, Stad is slugadh. Crathadh cluaise, diosg-leum aithghearr Chuileagan bun na h-adhairc tha tathaich, Cnàmhach, cnàmhach, cnàmhach, Stad is slugadh. Priobadh ruisg is iad ga ciurradh, O chlach sula clisgidh tiurra, Cnàmhach, cnàmhach, cnàmhach, Stad is slugadh. Breabadh coise suas mu h-utha, Gaoir nan sgiath comh-fhreagairt gnusaid, Cnàmhach, cnàmhach, cnàmhach, Stad is slugadh. Crith air feoil chuireas eagal orra, A-mach air iteig cliath mhollaicht', Cnàmhach, cnàmhach, cnàmhach, Stad is slugadh.	Red cow who's standing there Ruminates at milking time, As she chews, chews, chews, Stopping to swallow. Another batch up from her stomach, Masticating hay and straw, As she chews, chews, chews, Stopping to swallow. Sweep of tail about her back And biting flies rise in swarms, As she chews, chews, chews, Stopping to swallow. Twitch of ear, sudden leap Of flies that flock where the horn grows, As she chews, chews, chews, Stopping to swallow. Blink of eyelid as they nip her, From the eyeball jumps the jetsam, As she chews, chews, chews, Stopping to swallow. Kicking leg up by her udder, Buzz of wings to match her grunting, As she chews, chews, chews, Stopping to swallow. Shaking flesh makes them frightened, And off they fly, the cursed phalanx, As she chews, chews, chews, Stopping to swallow.
