Oidhceannan Sàbaid samhraidh.
Walsal aig an t-seinn mu dheireadh.
Làn san fheur.
|
Sabbath nights in summer.
Walsal the tune at the last singing.
High tide up to the grass
| |
A' coiseachd gu taighean.
Sa bhàgh bha na sgeirean falaichte,
bàthte is fo sheun.
|
Walking to houses.
In the bay the reefs were hidden,
drowned under a spell
|
|
Suipear gun feum air solas.
A' cluinntinn thrìlleachan 's fhaoileag
's an t-anmoch 'nan sgiamh.
|
Supper with no light needed
Hearing oyster-catchers and seagulls
with lateness in their cry.
