Na Marcaichean	The Riders
Ciod iad an smuain, na fir bhrùit' air a' mhachair, Nuair mharacaicheas Moloch a thogail na cìs? E crathadh na srian 's cas na steud-each gan nighe Am fuil nam fear gaisgeil nach marcais a-rìs.	What are their thougths, the crushed men on the machair When Moloch rides out to gather the tribute, Bridle rattling and washing the charger's fetlocks In the blood of the heroic, who will rid out no more?
O, mharcaich sibh uile aig briseach na faire Thar chrìochan, thar bhailtean, thar chorp a tha breun; Ach 'n do choinnich sibh fhathast ri marcaich' 's each geal aig' 'S gun tròcair ag agairt a chòraichean fhèin?	You have all ridden at the breaking of watch Over borders, habitations, over putrefying corpses But have you yet met a rider on a pale horse Who, without mercy, pursues his own harvest?
Na fir ùra bu làidir, na braighdean bu tràilleil, Na gaisgich san àr a bha dàicheil is treun, Thàinig geilt air an aghaidh is schleuch iad na làthair - "O dìon on each Bhàn sinn, 's Bàs ruith na cheum.'	The youth who were strongest, the most enslaved captives The heroes in battles who were fit, well-tempered, Their faces showed terror, they knelt in his presence- From the pale horse protect us, Death runs in his steps.
Cò dh'fhàg sinn 'n seo brùite, an dòrainn ar creuchdan, Beum corran a mharcaich' ri fhaincinn nar crè? Ciod dhuinne ged dh' aithriseach càch ar cuid euchdan 'S ar mnathan 's ar leannain 's fear brist' aig gach tè?	Who left us here crushed in the anguish of wounds, The rider's sickle-cut to be seen in our frames? What is it to us if all laud our valour With our wives and our loves left a broken man each?
