The Gaelic Poetry Nook will present poetry both in English and Gaelic.

FEIN-FHIREANTACHD SELFRIGHTEOUSNESS
Chan iarr lad orm ach
gal aithreachais peacaidh
nach bum dhomh
'S gu faigh mi saorsa
fuadan nach tuig mi:
They ask of me only
to weep repentance for a sin
that does not concern me
and I shall get in return an alien
freedom I don't understand:
Oludaradh ann an uisge
an de'idh uisge tana, guinteach
am feallsanachd
to be drubbed in one thin,
wounding water after another
of their philosophy
agus gun amharas chrochadh iad
an nigheadaireachd anns na nčarrihan.
and confidently they would hang
their washing in the heavens.
Domhnall Macamhlaigh Donald Mac Aulay
