Lighthouse Beacons From Scotland

Buchan Ness Lighthouse is located on the north east coast of Scotland and is the first light north of Aberdeen. It was built in 1826 and the engineer was Robert Stevenson. It was automated in 1988. It has a range of 28 miles. The White tower with red bands stands 35 metres high.
The picture comes from the Northern Lighthouse Board's 1997 calendar and was taken by Allan Fraser Morgan.
