Lighthouse Beacons From Scotland

Cantick Head Lighthouse was built in 1858 by David and Thomas Stevenson. It was automated in 1992. The tower is 22 metres high and has a range of 18 miles. The station is located on south end of the Orkney Island chain.
George Gilmore took this beautiful picture which appeared in the 1996 Northern Lighthouse Board Calendar.
