Hyskeir Lighthouse was established in 1904 and the engineers were David and Charles Stevenson. The station is located on an island in The Sea of the Hebrides east of Rum. The towers is 39 metres high and flashes (3) white every 30 seconds. It has a range of 24 miles. In order to visti it you need a good boat or helicopter.

The beautiful picture is by Joe Aitken and was featured in the 1996 Northern Lighthouse Board Calendar.
