The Isle of Man is not part of Scotland. The Northern Lighthouse Board administers all of the Isle of Man lights from Edinburgh. This happened because the the Isle of Man wanted the Stevensons to build their lights. The Calf of Man is a small island of about 616 acres off the southwestern tip of the Isle of Man. It has three lighthouses, two no longer used since 1875 and a modern one built in 1968.
