Many of the lighthouses on the Firth of Clyde were not built by the Northern Lighthouse Board. These two were built and are operated by the Clydeport authority. The little one is still operational. It is 27 feet tall with a day characteristic of a black and white checkerboard pattern conical tower. It is a minor light with a night characteristic of fixed green with a range of nine nautical miles.
