Tarbat Ness Lighthouse located on the east coast of Scotland on the Black Isle is one of more striking lighthouses. It was built in 1830 and the engineer was Robert Stevenson. The white tower with red bands stands 41 metres high and has a range of 24 miles. The light flashes 4 white every 30 seconds. Access to this lighthouse is easy and it is definitely worth seeing. The picture we have selected is a beautiful one with the gorse blooming in the foreground.
