Bressay Lighthouse

Bressay Lighthouse lies east of the Shetland Island's main town, Lerwick on the island of Bressay. It was lit in 1858 and the engineers for the project were David and Thomas Stevenson. The white tower is 53 feet tall and the beacon has a nominal range of 21 naturical miles. It is soon to be turned into a interpretive center by the Shetland Amenity Trust.
