From Eshaness Lighthouse by Sharma Krauskopf

A Gift Left by A Guest

Recently we had a guest from the United States at the lighthouse. He left behind a wonderful gift which you will find below.

Eshaness

Atop a hill at world's end,
T'was there I made a many a new friends

A lighthouse wrought with Shetland charm,
A haven from a fierce storm's harm.

The sea, the stacks, a beam of light
Piercing through the darkest nights,

Guiding sailors as they ply
The treacherous coast as they sail by.

A peaceful place where time stands still,
With potted plants on the window sill.

May our great God's hand always bless
The beauteous placed called Eshaness.
