Hi! I am Jeffrey the three-week-old hedge hog. I am in the lower right-hand corner. My eyes opened about a week ago. The first thing I saw was my mother, two babies just like me, and this purple thing. Mom said the purple smelly thing was called Heather. It was sure was strange. My beautiful mother is beside me and behind me are two other hogs. Mom says they are called "brothers". She will keep me for a couple of weeks in our well-hidden nest until I can find my own food. Then I will be big. I am growing fast. Mom told me when I was first born I had white spines but they have all disappeared. My spines are now brown. Learning to hunt is next according to Mom. She tells me insects are delicious. Could they taste better than milk? I look forward to getting out of our nest and seeing the world. Hopefully I can go outside next week .
