Scottish Puffins

by Sharma Krauskopf

One of the most beautiful and elusive birds is the Scottish Puffin. On my recent trip to Scotland I saw these birds in their natural environment for the first time. I am in the process of writing a children's books about "Peadair McPuff" but I thought all you kids out there would enjoy a few pictures of Peadair's relatives.

Scottish Puffins

The ones I saw were surrounded by the sea pinks sitting on the top of a high sea cliff.

I found a picture giving a close up view of Peadair's family's beautiful faces.

Another question I had was what did puffins eat. The answer is fish. Below you will find one of Peadair's relatives having lunch.

Since the puffins I saw were sitting in the sun 700 feet in the air it is obvious they know how to fly. I was thrilled when I found this picture of one of Peadair's friends taking off for a flight.

That's all for now until the "Peadair McPuff's" book appears.
