Across the Borders
By Battlefield Band

This live album was recorded in 1966 during three concerts in the Edinburgh Queen's Hall during the Edinburgh International Festival. Not only does it show them at their live best but there is a lot of new material. The album features the Battlefield Band performing with several special guests: Alison Kinnaird -- Scotland's leading harp player; Seamus Tansey, legendary Irish flute player; Eric Rigler (perhaps best known as the Uillean piper heard on the Braveheart soundtrack), and the Radio Sweethearts, the country band with whom John McCusker (Battlefield's virtuoso fiddler) plays whenever he gets the chance.
