This small 112 paperback book is a comprehensive resource on all types of witchcraft in Scotland in the sixteenth and seventeenth century. The first chapter is about famous witches, which includes the North Berwick witches and many more. The book then takes on wizards and sorcerers of which Major Weir is the most famous. If you like Harry Potter are into spells and curses the book contains information on that as well as witch cats and witches "brew." Scotland is well known for its fairy folk and professional witch finders called "witch pickers" and the book tells all about both. If that is not enough of the dark side the book ends with information on torture and execution.
I have given this small book four thistles because it does such a good job of presenting all of the different types of the dark side of Scotland. If you are into witchcraft this book is a must for your library
