Whisky Galore is one of Scotland's most famous books and movies. It is base on a true story. During World War II an 8,000-ton cargo ship loaded with whisky ran aground on an island in the Outer Hebrides. If you want to know what really happened them this book tell the story.

I found it as delightful as the fictional account told in Whisky Galore. One of the most interesting parts of the book was finding out what it was like living on these exposed islands with enemy ships all around.

This book deserves the 4-thistle rating that I have given it.

The book can be purchased for $16.95 plus shipping and handling here. If you would like to use cash to order please go here.
