Scottish Folklore is a superb collection of information on Scotland's multitude of lore. It begins with Scots folklore tradition and where it comes from. It has a complete calendar of folklore festivals. It presents information on sacred stones, giants, elfhame, Thomas the Rhymer, King Arthur, amulets, Beltane, curses, dragons, elfs, fairies, ghosts, giants, gypsies, Halloween, keplies, legends, mermaids, ogres, sorcery, superstitions, treasure, witches and wizards. If it has a fault it is the book is not longer and covers each subject in more depth. It definitely is a good beginner for any one interested in Scottish folklore. Scottish Folklore
