People all over the world are tracing their Scottish roots. Most of them hoping that they have some tie to a Highland clan. This small book is a great resource for finding out more about the Highlands Clans and their respective tartans. A very good introduction relates the origins of clans and tartans. A real asset to someone interested in this area is a short section on tracing your ancestors. All sections of the introduction are brief but do give a great overview. The book continues by presenting leading clans and a thumbnail sketch of their origins, and anecdotes from their history. Each clan presented is illustrated with a swatch of its own tartan.
