Death of an Celebrity He's back. Hamish MacBeth one of the most popular police constables in the United Kingdom since the BBC did a series on M.C. Beaton's books. In this book Hamish is having trouble with the media. First a television network does a series on highlands and exposes what it considers it flaws. As a result two of the company's broadcasters are killed in Hamish's territory.

To add to his media difficulties he finds his life is getting entwined with a beautiful female local newspaper writer. Having just hear of the engagement of his ex-fiancee, Priscilla, Hamish does not want any more woman in his life. The reporter's psychic powers makes her a big part of the murder investigation so Hamish is stuck with her. This story is a typical Hamish MacBeth mystery with great discriptions of Highland life and the people who live it. I found myself time and time again realizing I had experienced exactly the same events in the highlands which made it a wonderful book for me.
