Portland, Oregon keyboardist Jeff Johnson has self produced and engineered over two dozen solo vocal and instrumental releases on his own Ark Records label and has created soundtrack music for clients such as Nike, Speedo and Mercedes Benz. Flutist, Brian Dunning, who grew up in Dublin, Ireland, is best known for his contributions to the Windham Hill band, Nightnoise. Jeff and Brian began their collaboration in 1992 when they joined creative forces in producing the first in a series of three Contemporary Celtic albums inspired by a trilogy of author, Stephen Lawhead, entitled, The Song of Albion. In addition to the three Songs from Albion recordings, they have had songs featured on such successful Celtic music samplers as Celtic Twilight 1, 2 & 3 and Celtic Christmas 1 & 2.
Celtic Legends - The Bard & The Warrior A culture rich in story and song, the Celts treasured their ancient tales of wonder and adventure. The bards would sing the legends of their race in the halk of their chieftains, and the heroes of old would live again. Two of the most important figures of Celtic legend are Taliesin, and cúChulainn: one, a bard; the other, a warrior. Their deeds were remembered, and handed down by the monks of Britain and Ireland, who carefully recorded the stories and left them for us as a legacy of a now vanished world.
